This standard is based on the principles of age-appropriate design defined in IEEE Std 2089. It specifies a full lifecycle process for the design, development, and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems that may affect children. It takes the Children & AI Code as a foundation by which to do this. The standard addresses actions to take across preparation, intention, data, development, deployment, monitoring, transparency, user reporting and redress, and decommissioning.
