IEEE ProComm is co-sponsoring the Engineering ACE Award (Achievement in Communicating Ethics) writing competition, along with Cornell University’s Engineering Communications Program (ECP) and Cornell’s Bovay Engineering Ethics Program. Up to 50 engineering undergraduates in Cornell Duffield Engineering will be able to compete at this campus event Sept 18, 2026. Winners will be announced at the end of September 2026.

The “Integrating Virtue Ethics into STEM Courses” session took place during ETHICS 2021 on 31 October 2021. It was moderated by Mark A. Vasquez, Senior Program Manager, IEEE TechEthics. The objectives of this session are (1) Introduce participants to a virtue ethics framework; (2) Describe modular integration of the framework in a robotics course through 9 weekly “Ethical Considerations in AI” assignments; (3) Assist participants in the development or planning of a virtue ethics module.
